I've lived on enough Council Estates in my time to have seen this kind of swamp life before but you're right, that level of racist abuse is not that common. To call them racist is almost missing the point, they're not clever enough to even have an opinion worth considering. If there were no ethnic minorities to harrass, they'd pick on some other difference, clothes, hairstyle, what kind of dog you're walking. They're hanging around on street corners, wasting their lives. If they had any brains, they'd see that they were the ones deserving ridicule.
