paperplane   10 #2 Posted October 16, 2009 Try the tropical butterfly house at North Anston. It's 10 mins from junction 31 M1. I've been there loads with my 7 year old and we love it. There's all sorts of animals inside and out. The house it's self is fantastic. there's a play ground and cafe. If it's a nice day they have birds of pray displays on the lawn. Enjoy. http://www.butterflyhouse.co.uk/
 Share this content via...
jennybongo   10 #3 Posted October 16, 2009 Yes ski village, not as far as you think. Has bowling, food/bar, quad bikes (£3 short ride) adventure mountain which is big wooden playarea. Great place for kids of all ages. Reasonable prices. The number to book bowling is 2760044. Sometimes we just go and wait, there is giant connect four and pool table so nice place to hang out if booking a time is a problem. I don't work there before someone asks!!!but have a leaflet here so thought i'd give you their details, http://www.sheffieldskivillage.co.uk. Have a great day whatever you decide to do. ksheff2 Â Â 10 #4 Posted October 17, 2009 Wentworth garden centre in Barnsley is a nice little place. Apart from the garden centre, theres little shops, pet shop, playground, a maze, and the beautiful garden to walk around. They have recently opened a farm there, where you can feed the animals. There is a small fee to get into the farm, I think it's about 3 or 4 pounds. (The butchers shop there sells the most gorgeous pork pies!!)
