Recommend a good book for CSS?

Recommended Posts

Anyone recommend a good book for learning the ins and outs of CSS?

I tried to learn xhtml & css from various sites & books & was getting nowhere. In the end the best way that worked for me was downloading a free css site framework & tinkering.

I've learned more in the last six months from messing with that than I ever got from everything else I looked at before.

I used bluetrip.

http://www.htmldog.com is a great site for learning CSS and you can also buy a book that accompanies the site. It is very well written and doesn't confuse the hell out of you like most books on this subject do!

There's also the XHTML & CSS visual quickstart guide, which I found useful.

But mostly you learn through trying.

Yep, many thanks everyone for your suggestions and recommendations. I think I'm going to check out the htmldog book; seems pretty good as a reference too.
