I am looking for a reputable and reliable company to take on a renovation project in my property which is a two bedroom terrace in the East Rotherham area - Bramley/Wickersley.

 

Required is a new kitchen, bathroom, central heating, double glazing and external doors, rewire and all rooms replastering.

Also laminate floor and decoration and replacement internal doors.

 

I don't want to spend a fortune so if you have a realistic view on if you can help me i would be grateful for any replies.

 

Any recommends guys n girls??

Hi,

 

We started the rennovation of our 3 bed terrace, S6, about 18 months ago. In total, the building and decorative work (excluding furniture) has cost us about £15,000.

 

Included in that cost is the following:

 

Replaced some of the roof and ridge tiles, chimney flashings, some repair to guttering

Restored, and in some cases, replaced, the downstairs floor joists

Replastering of all rooms

Electrics including re-wiring, new fuseboard, new sockets and light switches and sockets

Central heating including new gas connection, new combi boiler and radiators

Knocking down of wall between kitchen and dining room including RSJ

New bathroom including new suite and wall and floor tiles

New stair banister in the attic and expanded attic space into the eaves

New carpets throughout

Re-decoration throughout

Disposal of waste via 3 6-ton skips

 

We did some of the work ourselves e.g. the bathroom and redecoration. The rest, we've used various tradesmen for including builders, roofers, electrician, gas man, carpet fitters.

 

For general building and roofing, I'd recommend ST Building Services who we found to be very efficient and good value for money.

I had my whole house recently refurbished. I am a lady with no clue what so ever before about house renovation and it has been a great experience working with great people. U can pm me if u want to know anything.

 

I just had Andy from Rowland Kitchens & Bathrooms fitted 2 en-suites in my property. Andy does kitchens and bathrooms and he certainly knows his stuff. He is trustworthy, efficient and his quality of work is superb. I had 3 quotes and his price was reasonable. Even if you get someone is a bit cheaper, I highly recommend you to choose him for quality and peace of mind as he is CORGI registered and you'll get guarantee for his work. Also, I just had the whole house decorated by Weldonworks. Call Neville on 07977518622 for any refurbishment work. I had my whole property decorated with superb quality at a very reasonable price. Neville - the owner is always around, trustworthy, on budget, punctual and very co-operative. Neville is so generous and he'll help you a lot with advise and getting your property done according to your budget by connecting you electrician and other tradesmen who provide excellent service at very competitive price.

Both my family and I have used CITY WIDE HEATING SERVICES and have been satisfied in every way with the standard of their work and also their quotes were the best. They have previously worked for British Gas and EON. They have fitted a new boiler and several radiators for my elderly parents and they were fantastic. My parents felt very comfortable with them, which was very important as they are not in the best of health.I have been recommending them to family, friends and the mums at the school gates.
