I think that you desperately want to make this about the race of the people involved when in reality it's all about the training, equipment and tactics of the forces involved.

the gurkhas get exactly the same training as every other british soldier,take them out of the jungle role and they become light infantry just the same as every other foot soldier .

there is no question about their bravery as it has been proven many times over ,but they are not super soldiers ,just soldiers with a fierce loyalty to britain who go in and do their job,the same as the royal marines and the paras

Thats what governments / organisations do in the repressed areas we are fighting in. Not here!! Try telling friends and family that they are no OUR lads! Mind you most of the people on here seem to have so much admiration for the middle east and contempt for their own region that they'd probably think it was acceptable....

I think you'll find a person from the UK who is figthing for their country in one of these wars is in 9999/10000 cases a better person and a better fighter than some taliban toad who'd happily fly a plain into a building or blow himself up on a bus but won't man up and fight!!!

What the US and UK forces couldn't do in 7 years, Pakistani Army did it in 4 months.
