burke_jb73 Â Â 10 #38 Posted September 25, 2009 c'mon, are you seriously saying there really are ghosts in some of these pubs. I'm going to have to investigate, now...first, a good beer, then ghost hunting
 Share this content via...
waggy   10 #39 Posted September 26, 2009 At minnies a strange old man can be seen walking around the pub in the small hours of the morning. He is sometimes carrying a bucket sometimes not.  At The Royal a 'shrek' (black dog) can be seen and heard around Halloween time. Also a withc is sometimes known to cackle there. Rumour has it she was hanged for witchcraft centuries ago.  The old man story makes sense, sometimes the black dog might have been able to hold it in, sometimes not.  A shrek is the spirit of a black dog? I've googled 'shrek', not only is it green it doesn't even resemble a dog!  How could anybody possible know that a witch was hanged for witchcraft centuries ago, perhaps the witch simply slipped in the bath? droplink   10 #40 Posted September 27, 2009 How could anybody possible know that a witch was hanged for witchcraft centuries ago, perhaps the witch simply slipped in the bath?  This is why we have historical records, archives and documents which date back 100's of years. You dont just google search everything, its lazy and the internet is full of useless nonsence when it comes to searching history and wanting to find out historical documents and information anyway. There is nothing like a good rumage round the archives whilst wearing latex gloves and breathing in centuries old dust lol!
 Share this content via...
