dosxuk   10 #2 Posted September 14, 2009 Academy itself? The ticket office is open most days (and has regular hours, not just when a gig is on).
 Share this content via...

HotPhil   10 #4 Posted September 14, 2009 I think they even still charge you some kind of rip-off credit card/not putting it in an envelope/having to go to the hassle of actually selling you a ticket/administration/some other charge we just made up/handling fee if you go and pick it up (and you have to shout through the perspex at the thoroughly disinterested chap in the box office to make yourself heard). A ticket should cost the amount stated on it. O2 (or the promoters behind using the O2 brand) are as guilty of this as any other issuer. HotPhil   10 #8 Posted September 14, 2009 You can pay cash at the box office and avoid all booking fees  Even if you've booked online with a card in order to get a ticket for a fast-selling gig?
 Share this content via...
sheffblog   10 #9 Posted September 14, 2009 If you book online then you have to pay the booking fees. Go there in person and pay by cash and you'll avoid it
 Share this content via...
swordfish1   10 #10 Posted September 16, 2009 If you book online then you have to pay the booking fees. Go there in person and pay by cash and you'll avoid it  That's correct. It's what I always do. Pay cash at the box office and it's just the ticket price. Bit of a git if you want to get tickets to gigs that are likely to sell out, then unfortunately it's the internet and bending over and taking the charges route.
