E. H.Pickfords Ecclesall Rd

Recommended Posts

Hi. I worked in sales from '73 to'75. With Bob Potter, Reg Gethin, Tony Orwin, Pete Bestwick, Jim Barrowdale, Les Walker. Bob Till was new car sales manager, Les Houghton was used car manager, and not forgetting the lovely Jenny in sales office . I'm sad enough to still have a 1971 Avenger 1500!

I worked at Pickfords from 68 to 78,before moving to Scunthorpe. My wife worked there aswell, in the offices with Vivianne and Janet. Neil Cusworth was our best man. We had some good times in the Prince Hotel on Pomona street.

Hi Mick How are you? are you still in the trade, I left to join the steelworks in 1984, and am now retired and living in France. The escort went years ago. My sister still lives in Sheffield so we get over at least once a year, but Sheffield has changed a lot since the 70's so we don't recognise a lot of the places, but it was good to see 'uncle sam's' was still on Eccleshall road.
