Any one remember GGs cafe under arches on attercliffe?

yeah the cheese flan is still being made by me. family recipe. Gordon is still alive and kicking and so is john. My nannan (gladys) who made the cheese flan and everything is still here. but unfortunately for anyone who knew my grandad (jim) who used to work the till on days passed away just over three years ago.
sorry to hear about your grandad i remember jim nice fella. any chance of the recipe :D

Ricgem2002, yep my grandad was a top gent, no one better. Unfortunately my nannan made me promise not tell anyone the recipe for cheese flan or any other recipe.

 

She has just been asking me if she might know you?

Also remember that when I walked in, with a couple of male friends, the man behind the till would say "no swearing chaps, there is a lady present"

Seem to remember there being bikers and taxi drivers eating/ drinking there.

I really enjoyed my late nights there - Good Food and a nice atmosphere.
