does anyone remember or have any memories of norths funfairs

North's funfairs are still in business. operated by relations. J.T. North's grandaughter Alexandra Moran presents Kimberworth Park fair each year, her cousin Arthur North Jnr owns a set of Dodgems and attends Firth Park fair each year. J.T. North's other grandson is William Percival, the owner of Farrar's Funfairs who put on many fairs each year around Sheffield and Rotherham and next week return to Greasbrough nr Rotherham for the first time in around 30 / 40 years since J.T North put on the last fair there.

yeah i know there still in business id just like to hear peoples memories of them, i worked for arthur for a short while & remember doing kimberworth, great memories

As a kid I lived in the cottages on high st Ecclesfield next to the ball inn, norths fair used to come to the field adjacent the pub, my mum used to clean caravan for the Norths

Not sure if any of the North family, but a few fairground families used to spend the winter on that ground whilst they were off the road.

Yes that's true but they definitely used to come a couple of times a year,,mum used to say how nice a family they were,,when most people were a bit wary of fairground folk
