Does anyone out there like 'Alt Country'?

Just wondered if there were any other alt country fans out there? And if there are any good country nights in Shef, either DJ's or live bands???

 

like Gram Parsons, Brad paisley,John Hiatt and others:also like western swing

He's great, I hope you manage to land him again. Dolly Varden's The Panic Bell did nothing for me but good luck with the gig and no doubt I'll be turning up to more of your events in the future.

Good news. Rod and Amanda were fantastic when they played The Grapes last year (or was it the year before?), absolutely mesmerising stuff.

Wow, Ryan Adams at the boardwalk, he is the man in terms of Alt Country/Americana but quite easily slips in and out of other genres, Bluegrass Rock etc Also checkout his buddies Jesse Malin & Gillian Welch. Not sure about any regular nights out in Sheffield for Alt Country, might have to wait for Tramlines...
