Wild ring necked parakeet's in sheffield ??

Im not sure if im losing the plot here, but I DEFINITELY just saw a man strolling through Millhouses park with one on his shoulder. Now im sure its a pet...but this has got me thinking!

Yes - I think there is a small number of them near the robin hood pub on abbeydale road ... I have seen/heard them flying around the roof tops. Visits to the pub are not related to sightings :D

saw a pheasant in normanton springs yesterday so its a start

I saw one behind some flats just off Abbeydale Road earlier this year.

It was in a tree where someone had hung some bird feeders. Quite a surprise!

I saw one regularly last summer in Ashes woods in Norton Lees, I know there's a pair in Beauchief, may have been one of those?

We have some in our garden in Carterknowle and my friend has seen some in hers further up on Bannerdale.

Seen a flock of them in crookes valley park, in the trees near Dam house. This were a fair few years ago now though.

if you have one from a early age they can talk, but very noisy they squarking all the time more so in spring, are called indian ring necks

I live just outside Brisbane in Australia & have one visits my garden every morning. I feed the wild birds & this beautiful bird has been coming just about every day for about 12 months.

My friend has one regularly come to his garden on Handsworth avenue, its been coming for about 3 years and yes it has a high pitched squawk.
