Is Woodthorpe a bad area

its really not that bad but as you say the shops attract unwanted attention but dont dont most areas have that problem,im happy where i am and have had no problems with anyone,problem its had a bad reputation and its stuck

imo woodthorpe isnt a bad area at all

on the other hand 70 to 80% of the ppl on there are REAL scumbags and low lifes

we went to a party there on new years eve once at midnight the scumbags were BLOWING up cars instead of fireworks , one of my friends has been hospitalized just walking through woodthorpe and at one time the area was one of the cheapest areas to buy houses says alot really

see i did a post on here before i moved to woodthorpe and poeple left messages like the one above, but after two years ive never seen anything like this, or even heard of anything like it happening, or people being attacked. If that was the case youd hear police, fire engines, ambulances. And word soon spreads if something had happened.

no, all my neighbours ar lovely, to be honest all quite old.

Tho i dont go down near the shops, hence i wouldnt go in those pubs.

My dad is from Woodthorpe, lived on Fishponds Road.

 

He says he could weep with what it's now become...

 

That said, people probably say that about where I live "Ooo, I wouldn't live there to save my life" (Just off Prince of Wales Road), but touch wood, I don't see much bother at all!
