mps32   10 #97 Posted October 11, 2009 Hi  I am looking for a running club , ideally in the S6 area , but I do work in the city centre so somewhere I could get to by tram would also be an option.  I have started running again recently, and ran my first 10K recently at the Great Yorkshire run , and suprised myself by completing in 43 mins.  I would like to run more 10K's and some half marathons , and am looking for a club to motivate me to train better and push me , as running on my own I often stuggle to push myself.  Any advise would be welcome  Matt
 Share this content via...

ESteve   10 #103 Posted October 18, 2009 Dark Peak fell runners an alternative for those who like the Dark Side of running. Literally on their night runs in the peaks! DPFR.org.uk I think. Also do regular monday night runs from their clubhouse at the Sportsman pub in Lodgemore and interval training in Endcliff park. Nix65 Â Â 10 #104 Posted October 27, 2009 Hi, Â I live very close to Ringinglow Road and am looking for a running buddy (my partner doesn't run!). I am keen to run off-road (Burbage) at night as well as on-road. I am not that fit at the moment but have run lots in the past (marathon/OMM etc). I get home at around 6.30pm and would like to run from about 6.45 for 30-60 minutes (nearer 30 I suspect at the moment!) and possibly some weekends. I am 44, female and also climb and road bike. I'm hoping to find a pal of a similar standard so that we motivate and spur each other on. Am I asking too much? Let me know if you're interested!
