Refreshments and Prize-Giving. Free Entry  TUESDAY 7TH JULY FIRST AID COURSE, 8pm, Woodseats Scout HQ, Helmton Road Learn a valuable new skill. Free course, accredited by St John’s Ambulance and the Red Cross (course also running on Monday 6th)  WEDNESDAY 8TH JULY THE WOODSEATS QUIZ, 9pm, The Abbey Test your local knowledge with a special festival Pub Quiz all about Woodseats!  EASYDANCE FREE TASTER SESSION, 8pm, Woodseats WMC, The Dale Try the Lindyhop and Charleston for free! No need to book.  THURSDAY 9TH JULY LIVE MUSIC, 9pm, The Chantrey Arms Come and see the best in clubland entertainment for a special festival night.  FRIDAY 10TH JULY JAMAICAN FOOD NIGHT, 3 Boys Café, Chesterfield Road, 7pm and 9.15 3 courses of delicious authentic Caribbean cuisine, only £20  SATURDAY 11TH JULY FERRET FUN, 11am-2pm, The Chantrey Arms Ferret speed tube racing! - Ferrets entered will be timed down a cardboard tube, fastest at the end of the day will win £20 - bring your own ferret or borrow ours for 50p per go. Also a ferret show - £1.00 entrance fee, classes best kit, hob, jill, disabled and working. Ferret Jumble and loads more ferret fun!  CRAFT FAIR - 10-4 Methodist Church Hall, Holmhirst Road More than 20 stalls of beautiful things to admire and buy, all made by talented local craftspeople. Free Entry  ART EXHIBITION – 10-4 Methodist Church , Holmhirst Road Works of art on display by local painters, photographers, printers and craftspeople. Musical instrument making, and have-a-go origami sessions. Free Entry  CAMOUFLAGE DISCO FESTIVAL EVENT, 8pm, The Sheaf, Fraser Road Live DJ night with the best house music and dance tunes in Sheffield from the guys at Camouflage Disco. Free Entry. Open till late.  SUNDAY 12TH JULY GRAND COMMUNITY PARADE, 12 noon from Abbey Lane School Two Giant aliens, a huge dancing badger and a fearsome fox join hundreds of people parading through Woodseats led by drummers from the Double Six Youthclub. All Welcome! Children must be accompanied  FAMILY FUNDAY, 12-5, Woodseats School The parade leads the way to the Festival Family Funday at Woodseats School. Stage with live performances from dancers, singers, martial arts, boxers and more! Market Stalls, funfair, food, charities, community groups, sports activities including mini-tennis, climbing wall and archery. Vintage vehicles and much much more! Raffle Draw to win £500 of shopping at LIDL!  LIVE MUSIC & BBQ, 4-11pm, The Sheaf, Fraser Road Live Music from local bands MDP, 16 Hooves, Yezza & Nem plus Special Guests. BBQ and free bouncy castle! rubydazzler   11 #3 Posted July 6, 2009 I went to the literary evening and it was one of those evenings where you're glad you made the effort even though the car's broken down and it's pouring down ... funny, educational and emotional in turn ... and there are so many talented, creative people in our neighbourhood.
