...arrogant, smug, letch...

...I find him excruciatingly awful, but then I'm twenty plus years outside the target demographic...

My 15-year-old also considers him an unfunny 'arrogant, smug, letch' and prefers to chuckle at the contrived rambling on Thought For the Day.

Sounds like your kid has taste mate.

Are kids into 'their generations music' or has it more or less died cos of computer games and the internet? This generation will never really have the buzz of going up town on a saturday to buy the single/album you wanted all week or watching Top of the Pops or the The Chart Show on saturday morning, seems a bit sad to me. Probs being a soppy sod

My one is well into her generation's music - fortunately, for me, the more indie variety. T4 has taken the place of TOTP and The Chart Show.

There's no weekly Chart show or kids pop programmes anymore?

So she got you into McFly or she cooler than that?

Yep, that's excellent - "I haven't got many friends, I'm a little bit wet, a tosser!"
