Chilli help please

My chillies were doing quite well until recently and were starting to flower but now some of the leaves are going black round the edge then falling off :help: Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to stop it? I can't see anything on them. They still look reasonably healthy apart from a distance and are continuing to flower a bit, though some buds are falling off before they flower, not sure if that's normal or related to the poorly leaves.

have they been scorched? i.e. did they get wet and then have full sunlight on them? It is pretty normal for a number of buds/flowers to fall off. You can hand pollinate them to help but it seems inevitable.

Also don't overfeed them as that makes leaves and buds fall off. half concentrate tomorite every 2 weeks i hear.

No chillies on mine yet :( I might be over feeding them though, have been feeding every other water like for tomatos, will cut down for the chillies then. If I'm feeding that often do you think I'm over feeding my peppers too? I suppose they could be being scortched, I'm watering at night but they're kept inside (I have way too many plants for my balcony!) and the room they're in is like a green house first thing - can't really get around that problem though...

I've been trying to hand pollinate since they're inside (though by an open door), have been using a cotton bud but I've not had any success so far, any tips?

you dont need to feed chillis, all you need to do is change the soil,

feeding and over feeding them if not done correctly will just kill you plants!!

just go to B&Q get some compost and re-pot, this will give them a new lease of life.

also chillis are meant for the windowsill so they cant ahve to much sun-shine (i.e get scorched)

another good tip is, remove some of the flowers, this will then put the goodness in tot he chillis that are currently growing, giving you a better fuller chilli
