Tyranna Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Hi all, Want to no if you think this would be a good idea or if anyone is already doing this? Myself and my friend are thinking of starting to do pamper parties..... The parties would last about 3-4 hours and would consist of Hair treatments and beauty treatments. Does anyone think this would be a good idea and would anyone go for one of these parties????? DEFINITELY, as one of the first expenses that women are cutting back on during the recession is trips to the Hairdresser: so many hairdressers, mainly the 'quality' salons have been drasticlaly cutting back on staff or closing altogether, not only here, but in America and across Europe. If you can offer a competitively priced service, it should be hugely popular! I was recently looking at starting up, and hosting some kind of parties of this kind, if I could find people to do hair, nails, wigs, makeup, etc. at a local city centre venue. I would host it under my 'stagename' so as to give it distinctive branding. If interested, please PM me, or contact via details on my website.
JS1984 Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 A fantastic idea, especially in these stressful times. You should first check into the legal side of things though. Firstly, would you need to be a qualified masseur to offer this service? also you'd need some kind of public liability cover in case your massage caused someone an injury. Good Luck Hi, All 3 people that will be working the parties are fully qualified 1 in beauty therapy and 1 in hairdressing and the other girl is qualified in both. I have have public liability insurance that coveres me and the other girls to work. But i will state that unless you are working in a Salon (and dont quote me on this) you dont have to be qualified. I have not seen it anywhere that you have to have any formal qualification to offer these services. But i will state again that all 3 girls are. cheers
