A fantastic new way to update your wardrobe without costing a penny…sounding good? Swapping is a way to clear out unwanted clothing that you don’t like, doesn’t fit or was one of ‘those’ impulse buys...are you ready to roll up your sleeves and join this fashion revolution! Here’s how it will work? • Decide on your (maximum) 5 items of good quality, clean party clothing • Drop off your clothing either an hour before the SWAP starts or telephone us for a convenient time to suit you. We have drop off zones in the centre of Sheffield at the Millennium Gallery or Orchard House – all items will be considered by the team and you will be given a voucher. It is also advisable to bring more than 5 items in case an item is deemed unfit for the SWAP • We’ll hang your clothes on rails, and display your shoes, boots and accessories • Arrive at the SWAP with your ticket, voucher & bag to take home all your items • Once the SWAP opens you will be able to take the same number of items entered on your voucher home with you I want that outfit!!! Ladies feel free to ask fellow swappers to swap the clothes that other swappers are wearing – each swapper has the right to refuse or swap clothes that they are wearing! Please note that there will be a changing room available if needed. Items considered into the SWAP Some good ideas…Wedding outfits dresses/shoes/bags/shawls/wraps/hats/jackets/jewelry Some bad ideas…underwear, earrings, jumble sale items! Charity Museums Sheffield Clothes SWAP is a fundraising event which means that you not only enjoy a fantastic event but you engage with our museums, which is a chance to play a real part in the care of the city’s rich cultural heritage. All the monies raised from these events will go towards the work that Museums Sheffield undertakes as a charity, be it the work we do in our museums or supporting our community and education work across Sheffield. All clothing left over will be donated to a charity shop which swappers can vote on during the evening.
