You can't really say that till the end of the transfer window.

Also our wage bill is significantly higher than most in the league.

We also reported as bidding £1.5 million for Evans, who overall is an untested player.

We can now say the facts.

Agree with the the original poster a Wednesday fan we bottled it when we were promoted in respect of signings.

If we received the money quoted re the Tevez affair the board are being currently negative.Manchester City are the village idiots when it comes to signings generally but quality players are available to sign for this league last season shows that youngsters can pay off ie the two young full backs we have.We do not want cast offs over 30 who are past sell by dates.

We signed Henderson often on the sub bench for Watford and our star in the big league Hulse until he broke his leg was sold for a similar fee we should have given Hulse more time to recover his form

.We will not get out of the division OK Burnley made it on a limited budget but unless we push the boat out we will not get automatic promotion maybe playoffs with our great record?

United pay one of the highest wage bills because they pay players too much money for underachieving. It's not rocket science otherwise promotion would have been achieved..

How much were they paying Speed he certainly did not have any by the time we signed him, is that why we are asking so much compensation we must have signed him on big wages regarding his cost to us, the money could have been better spent on a quality younger player. He was past is sell buy date when we signed him, OK as an influence coaching wise fine and he has a footballing brain and he should make a good manager with his experience in time.He could'nt get in a crap football side who could have been relegated (Bolton).
