TAT Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 id snatch their hands off Typical Wednesday logic !!! No business stratagy, see the £ signs and wish to sell, what ever happened to business negotiation. United do not need to sell, but being realistic can not hold the lad or his talent back if the price is right. Thats on Uniteds terms and valuation. Not on the first tabled offer with many other clubs interested.
MR BENN Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 plenty of time his value will only appreciate at his age, dont dive in and take the first offer its win win 4 united then his contract starts running down and his fee drops
Dimitri 11 Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Be realistic, the lads played his last game for the Blades,it would be wrong of united to keep him if the premiership is calling. It's just a matter of how much now. Another way to look at it is,£5m off west ham £5m+ for kyle and the loss of parachute payment problem is solved. We don't need to sell to bridge the loss of the parachute payments os there is no reason to accept a bid at this stage. There are plenty of interested parties (allegedly 1 of them is the richest club in the world) and we are 2 1/2 months away from the end of the transfer window. If he goes, as now looks likely, we may as well get the maximum we can for him and anything else is just daft. We are getting 6 1/4 million off West Ham anyway as it's 25 mil over 4 years
8balltiger Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Glad to see McCabe took my advice. Mr Benn, I guess the young lad has played his last game for United, so his value won't drop that fast, he'll have gone for £6m by the time a ball has been kicked in mild frustration, never mind anger
ormester101 Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 if he is sold we need to sell him high 8-10 million

Robbie Loving Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 then his contract starts running down and his fee drops If rumours are to be believed he is tied to a contract for 5 years.... I don't envisage a problem with valuation should this be the case. if he is sold we need to sell him high 8-10 million Hahahaha, good one. We are getting 6 1/4 million off West Ham anyway as it's 25 mil over 4 years £25 million over 5 seasons, £3million per season, and £2 million for every year we're not in the PL.
scottf Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Too right, it's about time we stuck up for ourselves in transfer deals as we always seem to cave in and accept too little. The balls in our court here as we don't have to sell to balance our books and there are plenty of interested parties. Gareth Bale went to Tottenham for 5 Mil, possibly rising to 10 Mil and that was 2 years ago so what's that equate to now, i'd say at least 6 mil and 12 mil. We should be looking at something around those figures as Naughton is as promising as Bale was back then. I had a think about it last night and came to this conclusion too!! Its clear now that we practically gave jags away compared to his true worth and i hope the board has learned from this and will know that if a premier league club wants someone they will pay stupid money for him- i say hold out for more- 5mil was to test the waters
not wanted Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 We had no choice with Jags, he had a get out price in his contract if we went down
