Yes you can. And green tea really does have lots of (alleged) health benefits.

I have two large cups a day.

And they say it's slimming, too! :)

I've drank between three to six cups a day for the last five years or so and it's not done me any harm.

Apparently it can help your long term memory as you get older, but I've only seen one study which suggested that.

Incidentally, has anyone here had a macha latte? Which is a Japanese green tea latte?

Absolutely delicious, if you ever get the chance, have one. Slightly acquired taste, but sooo lovely!

Only as part of a calorie-controlled diet :D

I like green tea  Why wouldn't it be safe to replace black tea with it?

Green tea is fantastically healthy! Far better than standard tea.

It's ok but it can take some getting used to. Try it in a mix with lemon - that's nice.

My sons friend went to China and he brought me some green tea back, the kind the locals drink.

It was absolutely foul, when it was brewed it looked like grass, and the taste was UHGG!!!!

So to all you who think it is 'nice', try the real stuff.
