Rat owners-what size cage do you recommend and do you have any photos?

How do you find cleaning the critter 3? I get annoyed with them!!

I have the furet tower, but i'd say the XL cage is nice.

Is it a solid metal tray or mesh? Solid is fine - mesh isn't so good and can hurt paws. Bear in mind the deeper the tray the better - most rats just love to "post" their litter out as a gift.

Yeah - they shouldn't run on mesh for a few reasons. Firstly the wee will drip onto the mesh and corrode it, it will smell and be impossible to clean. Secondly it can make bumble foot a whole lot worse (http://www.rmca.org/Articles/qna3_97.htm).
