neresi
I am buying a house which is ten years old. Do you think I should get a Home Buyers Survey to find out if there are any structural problems with it?? Or is it a waste of time??
Bunderson
It depends on how much of a risk you are willing to take I suppose. I would always have a report done even on the newest of homes, but that's just from personal experience.
neresi
Thanks for the reply. Did you have a bad experience?
Bunderson
Fortunately not but have family members who have. Just go for the basic report which will show any structural problems. Few hundred quid worth spent in my opinion.

In my own opinion Home Buyers Surveys are a complete waste of money either pay the wack and have the full structural survey done or just have a basic val done would be my advice.
