Jazzybmzoo
My mate, an avid blade, said he'd be gutted if he left. Not a good move for the blunts as he is a bloody good managerial prospect.
MR BENN
i thought he would be nailed on as a player coach next season at the lane or maybe assistant manager
A.B.Yaffle
I will be disappointed if he leaves. I would have liked him to become assistant manager, or even a chance as manager.
Grandad.Malky
There goes our last chance of some “football” at the lane.
Stockers
Too much of a gamble to make Speed Manager down at the Lane, he's a Welsh Legend and will keep the Swans more than happy. Not sure he'll be able to improve on their league position from last season under Martinez.
Ousetunes
There goes our last chance of some “football” at the lane. I have to agree with this. Speed has a lot of potential as a coach and I simply cannot see the Blades playing a passing game without him on the coaching team. Some of the stuff played under (or should that be over?) Blackwell last season was more direct than a Dave Bassett side. (At least we had strikers who could profiteer under this type of 'football' with Bassett.) Largely, it was garbage and any decent side will contain us next season. A backward step IMO. Keep Speed, let Blackwell move on might be a better option. So a bloke who got us a more than respectable 3rd place finish should be moved on for someone who has never managed a professional team. Some Blades fans really do need to wake up and smell the coffee, i really do despair.
