Cycleracer   10 #25 Posted September 10, 2016 Baldwins Omega Restaurant have Motown Nights. You could ring and ask them for the names of the band(s) on 01142553263. We've booked to go to their Motown Night on Sat 29 August. Someone told me the band are not black though . Hopefully they will at least sound like the Temps!!  Motown tribute band and not black thats like having the Chinese bloke doing a Tom Jones tribute act.... A bit like some of the white musicians who did play Motown music, like Joe Messina, Bob Babbitt, Jack Brokensha?
 Share this content via...
modforlife   10 #27 Posted September 13, 2016 I'm surprised nobody as mentioned the Soulfaces. I've seen them countless times performing in town. Excellent band http://www.soulfaces.co.uk/
 Share this content via...

Bob Arctor   11 #29 Posted September 15, 2016 What about Motown based Sheffield bands? I've heard that D'Angelo Baptiste and his mates are always cranking out I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor at the Fillimore on a Saturday night.
