logiebaird   10 #49 Posted June 9, 2009 Presumably the political affiliations of the detractors and hassle merchants are those of New Labour and therefor supporters of the Iraq fiasco ?  Me thinks they have no moral platform to condemn any voter of any persuasion,
 Share this content via...

BritishProud   10 #51 Posted June 9, 2009 Surely this leaves your original post flawed?? You can't moan about work colleagues giving you hassle if you believe in freedom of speech.  i wasn't moaning!!! i created this thread to hear from the ones who are being hassled at work for there pollitical views, i never said i was moaning did i, i love it when i get into pollitical debates with my colleagues, one of my top mates in the office is a Big supporter of the labour party, and we are always slagging each other off but thats why we love working together were still mates at the end of the day, and what you are also implying that you DON'T believe in FREEDOM OF SPEACH!!! logiebaird   10 #53 Posted June 9, 2009 It doesnt really matter does it as the BNP have about as much chance of carrying out their various policies as the OMRLP.  Given that i know of no supporter of the Iraq war in the democracy in which i reside then it follows that it must have been carried out by a dictator and hence a fascist conducting an act of fascism. opalfruit   10 #54 Posted June 9, 2009 yes not all Unions!, absolutely hate Unison thats all since they are a Union formed by Labour party and that Unison formed UAF, but ye i know this already, you must be a union rep also since my union rep said exactly the same thing to me  Hah. No, I'm no union rep. I don't belong to any union of any sort. If you really can't understand why voting for the BNP has upset your Union, then, really, you need to question which is more important to you - your Union, or your vote.  The end of Trade Unionism is one of the hidden changes the BNP want to bring in - they dress their policies up in Union Jacks and tell stories of 'patriotism', but in reality their fascist views are deplorable and parallel to Hitler's National Socialist party.  If you really want every non-Anglo-Saxon person in this country, irrespective of wether they were born here or not, or if their parents were, to be forcefully repatriated to their 'own' country, then, please - feel free to vote for the BNP. Otherwise, please - get informed. You are NOT voting for patriotism, 'Britain' or anything else the BNP promises, you're voting for fascists - the same people most of our parents and grandparents died fighting against. dazzler4   10 #55 Posted June 9, 2009 Not a very nice thing to say, some people voted BNP not because they wanted to but to 'bloody the nose' of labour and the tories to tell them to buck their ideas up! All I pray is that it will work. Anyone who voted BNP just to back back at the other parties is plain stupidity. The BNP winning seats is damaging for everyone not just the parties who lose seats. You should use your vote to put a bad situation right not to spite others or make a bad situation worse.  And if somone is getting hassle from others for saying they are a follower of the BNP then surely it shows how wrong their views are.  People have a right to vote for whom ever they wish, maybe its not always wise to tell others though. there are some very strong point put across by the BNP and UKIP what the other paties need to do is simply knuckle down and realise that BNP didnt get votes through spite, they got votes because they picked up on ares that are very sensitive to voters in today economy.  we are entitled to oppinions but bullying someone for voting BNP is hypocritical because you are acting out antics that are apparently despised in the BNP.  just for the record, i didnt vote BNP
 Share this content via...

HeadingNorth   11 #57 Posted June 9, 2009 Surely this leaves your original post flawed?? You can't moan about work colleagues giving you hassle if you believe in freedom of speech.  Actually you can. Freedom-of-speech does not mean "freedom to say anything to anybody, anywhere at any time." If it did, I could come to your house and shout obscenities through your bedroom window all night, and you would have no recourse to get rid of me; that would be extremely silly.  One person's rights end where another person's rights begin. You have the right to express an opinion, but no right to shout down others' opinions or hassle them because they chose to express one. bob1   10 #59 Posted June 9, 2009 What a bunch of moaners going on about "how our grandparents fought to stop fascists" i thought they fought for people to have the right to free speech 'and for people to vote for whoever they want to' then just because a group of "extremists" gets democratically elected everyones up in arms . if people cared that much they should have used their own vote instead of whingeing when others use theirs. And no i did'nt vote bnp  It's not moaning or whinging to be concerned about the rise of a facist party. I did vote for someone else to help keep them out, and all the protesters are doing is trying to educate the fools who voted for them because BNP supporters have no idea what the BNP are capable of. The current main parties have made plenty of mistakes, but there were plenty of other parties to vote for without having to choose racist morons.
