Whats Bridlington like?

Scarborough is nice so is Whitby but Bridlington is just great. Anyone who says otherwise is talking rubbish. We stayed there twice last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a boat ride on the galleon for just a couple of pounds. Walked along the beach and coast path to Flamborough. Brilliant!

The two beaches are so clean and it is understandable why so many visitors go there every year.

You own shares in Brid don't you, go on admit it.

Please allow us our opinions too, it's great in your opinion, don't insult people because their opinions differ from yours.

Personally i hate soap operas, the missus loves them, if i say they are crap and she says they are great who's talking rubbish, me or her.

Seriously, if the OP finds Skeggy boring they will most likely hate Brid, though you might love it. :hihi:

like skeggy but smellier.

That is unfortunately true. We decided to have a change one year from our annual trip to Scarborough or Whitby so we went to Brid. It was *horrible*. Never again..... & it did stink to high heaven.

Scarborough is lovely in a traditional sort of way and Whitby is great.

What a shame to see all the negativity about Bridlington. It was always far superior to the tacky Skegness, and I used to love it as a child (shame about those filled-in rock pools though).

I don't remember it being smelly. What does it smell of? It does have a harbour, and at very low tide the exposed areas can be a bit whiffy when the sun gets to it, but then you can hardly expect a working harbour to be sweetly scented.

Haven't been to Bridlington in about seven or eight years though. I wouldn't be entirely surprised by a decline.

All the East coast destinations mentioned are fun to take the kids, and they all have + and -'s.

Whatever you do though, don't head for Blackpool :gag: It's been compared with Las Vegas and some Med resort. Obviously by someone who's never been to Vegas or the Med.
