TOTLEY OPEN GARDENS on Sat 11th and Sun 12th july 2009

Recommended Posts

Come along to Totley on the weekend of Sat 11th and Sun 12th July from 1-5pm and visit some of the 12 gardens that will be open that weekend. You will be inspired and maybe get some new ideas.

The open gardens offer a range of planting styles, from annuals and hanging baskets to herbaceous, woodland and vegetables. There is also the Totley Pinfold (where stray animals were impounded) now converted to a peaceful garden for the community, a garden adapted for disability and a garden with hens and ducks.

Cream teas will be available in some gardens, plants for sale in others, and toilets available in others and at the Fleur de Lys pub.

Tickets are on sale at Totley Library, Baslow Road, for a month before the event, and at 170 Baslow Road, between the Ironing Parlour and Equestrian Stablemate shops on the days. Tickets are £4 per person, which gives you a programme listing each garden and their features, and is extremely good value. Children are free but must be accompanied by an adult.

The money raised will go to Transport 17 which provides buses to take isolated elderly people from across south Sheffield to lunch clubs.
