Yup I can also remember that time I think it was about 75-6 ish

 

there is unfortunately a big difference between the top div then and now

 

Better fans, no matter who you supported you could go with your opponents fans without any worry about getting a knife in your back or a brick over your head

 

The chairmen didn't need to have the money of a small nation

 

and most of all the top league wasn't a 4 horse race every season just about every team had a chance of winning it

 

Europe wasn't involved and most games kicked off on a Sat at 3

already told you it was 73 to 76. burnley and united were in the same 1st division. we got relegated together in 76.

football was definatly more competative back then -no diving ,proper players and stadiums that didnt all look the same
