Berlin Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Islam is a backwards religion, everyone knows that. All religions are backwards. Unfortunately, not everyone knows that.
shane39 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 What has any religion ever done for any country? I agree..Piddle all....
A4e Client Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Perhaps you should do a little more research into Northern Irish history, particularly into the sectarian divide. So you're saying that the IRA was not rebelling against British rule and has no desire to establish a 32 county Irish Republic, the one established in arms in the 1916 Easter Rising and confirmed by the original Dáil Éireann which came into being after the general election of 1918? The conflict was about christian extremists - and not nationality and land?
blurt Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 What has Christianty good done for the England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland...? I can't think of anything public holiday,s
slimsid2000 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Wouldn't Muslims stop pretty girls wearing short skirts and stop us eating pork if they had their way?
plekhanov Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 All religions are backwards. Unfortunately, not everyone knows that. Some are more backward than others, mainstream European Christianity used to be every bit as bad Islam, the drubbing it has taken since the renaissance has forcibly reformed it into some less objectionable.

Stop being disingenuous and admit that I was right, even though it sticks in your craw.
dell12 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Wouldn't Muslims stop pretty girls wearing short skirts and stop us eating pork if they had their way? Doesn't the Bible say you cannot wear mixed fabrics on certain days, punishable by death!
boyfriday Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Is Islam the way forward? Nope, not in this country and it never will be

Stop being disingenuous and admit that I was right, even though it sticks in your craw. You are completely and utterly wrong. Terrorist atrocities committed in the name of Islam are very different from Irish Republican/Ulster Loyalist terrorist attacks. There is one single, very important reason for this - Northern Ireland atrocities were NOT carried out in the name of religion, but to achieve political objectives. Even my 13 year old daughter studying The Troubles in school is aware of this. For some reason you don't seem to be.
