Ghozer
usually when computers and laptops start running slow, its because they need a general clean out.. a Spyware, cookie, virus check, a clean of temporary files.. and if you installed and removed any software, all the little bits it left behind. anything that's running on startup, etc as you only have 1GB of ram and less than 1/2 of that free. I wouldn't be inclined to say it's a hardware fault, more of that it just needs a spring clean.
Gogetter
I'd recommend CCleaner - Link Cracking software - and it's free!

I have done a defrag I have also done a full system scan with my antivirus
Gogetter
Use ccleaner in the link above. (download and install) 1. Click Tools (here you can delete progs and startups you don't need) 2. Click on Registry icon then scan for issues (delete all that it finds) 3. Run CCleaner (Deletes all the histories and temps you don't need) 4. Then do the registry thing again. 5. Reboot I also use Defraggler from the same company (also free) And Recuva (Again - Free) Bet you using ccleaner makes your pc zippier!
