pinklady
I do .... unintentionally Its since had kids, It becomes second nature after giving your child anything to follow it with ... "what do you say"? .... Unfortunatly Its a hard habit to break, I dont half get funny looks when I pose the same question when handing cash over to the barmaid, cinema attendent or asda cashier ... they all blush and sheepishly say "thank you" Im a bugger at tucking in peoples clothes tags at the back of their neck too ... strangers on the street ... anyone, I think its a mother thing Does anyone else do this or is it just me? flamingjimmy
I'll sometimes give a sarcastic "you're welcome" when I hold the door open for someone and they don't say thankyou, but not to barstaff:hihi:
rinnie
i tend to say ta to people like i'm a child, i am just getting my lo to say thankyou so hopefully it will wear off soon. I too (depending on my mood) say your welcome if people don't thank me or even "it's ok, i have another arm/foot"if they bang into me and don't even acknowledge it, especaily if i say sorry and it's thier fault! Minimo
I was walking down Fargate when a man with a heavy bag over his shoulder banged into me. I muttered 'pig' loud enough for him to hear.He turned round and looked at me and I said 'yes you'. He just carried on walking, well I didn't really expect anything else. Being exceptionally short, what would be a knock on the arm or shoulder for anyone else is full in the face for me. It often happens on buses as well, I hate heavy shoulder bags.
