canadablade Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Under 5,000 I understand, point is? The point is that for a supposedly massive club thats PATHETIC
TAT Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 Ladybird, Ladybird fly away home....are you a ladybloke? HUMOUR !! we like that
TAT Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 Factually correct I grant you! So why is it surprising that you sell twice as many season tickets as us? As sales stand i think you would find, we have sold over 3 times as many season tickets. Yes the Owls shall sell a few thousand more over the next few weeks, but so shall Utd, and IF we go up our season tickets should rocket to the 25,000 mark. I guess we could end up with near 3 times the owls sales. But as you admit we have the better team, i would add a better stadium, more support, better financial status, a stable forward looking board, worldwide interests etc etc. Does not look gook in S6. but i do honestly praise the loyal 5000. I say the same to any genuine supporter , no matter what club. My nephew is a season ticket holder at Windsor and Eton f.c. a follower home and away. Again hats off to the genuine supporters.
Titanic99 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Here goes another wednesdayite again tainting the facts to make it look better than it really is, same was done on the Grant being a better keeper than Kenny thread and the stats prove Kenny is the better keeper Oh and for one that loves to count empty seats, you took 40,000 to Cardiff and 20,000 odd thousand liked it so much they didn't bother to come back because they sure haven't been to the Sty since :hihi: Exactly what facts am I tainting, is it not a reality that: United have a better side than Wednesday United have considerably cheaper season tickets than Wednesday That people won't tend to purchase an inferior and more expensive product when more than one option exists

I agree totally with most of what you have said (would dispute the support point as parity doesn't exist in many areas so a fair judgement in this area is difficult), I think the offer of not increasing season ticket prices if you go up is excellent. I'm in two minds about you going up, sometimes I think you deserve to go up as you finished third and it would be fitting and right if you make it, in other moments I just think it will just widen the gap between the two as more neutral supporters sign up for the Premier League experience. In the end I'm sticking with I hope the best team on the day wins, if that is you then good luck to you and if it is Burnley then welcome back to the Championship.
TAT Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 Banter aside, your new set up promised cheaper season tickets, with the view to gaining better attendances. Of course budgets do come into it, Look north has annouced over 39,000 blades are going on monday, we all accept the few £98 tickets are out of the pocket range of most fans. reading your previous comments and you state prices are a major factor, in low sales. Have your board let you down?
Paul Blade Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 TITanic not having a dig (if you believe me or not) my Nephew went today for season tickets and wasn't very happy with the price something about new season tickets were cheaper than for re buys is that correct?

Have your board let you down? Personally no they haven't, I last had a season ticket 3-4 seasons ago with my eldest lad. This lapsed for a couple of reasons (mainly expense and the number of night games interfering with schooling). The new board have addressed my personal issue about expense, I now get a free ticket for my little one and a reduced cost for my older lad so personally I'm not complaining other than I think they should have designated an area for families. However if I didn't have kids I would look at the new prices and think what have they done for me and I would feel let down. So generally happy with what they have done for those with kids, but I can see why others feel let down.

Not sure about that, there was a cheaper renewal price for anyone who had one in the last three seasons (I think I missed that by one year). I think renewal prices on the Kop are £339 and new £370 but I could be wrong. Could it be that he's gone into a different age bracket?
Titanic99 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Have your board let you down? The other point I think they've got wrong is the cheap tickets for Armed Forces and Students, I believe these are actually cheaper on the day than they are for my kids which seems a bit mad to me. Irrelevant to me I know as mine have season tickets, but a bit stupid for those wanting to pay on the day.
