Why don’t you help Burnley fans out and give them tickets you can't sell

No they shouldn't - Burnley have had far in excess of the tickets they need, at least double their season ticket holders. They had plenty of chance to get tickets when available at their end, blame their club for giving tickets out too freely at the start, and for using an external ticketing agency.

Whatever tickets are left, maybe the club should buy them and take a few schools down with them (or some other group)...

but those 94 pound tickets wont be bought by the thugs from either club -more likely be the prawn sarnie mob ,who arnt exactly trouble causers.

the idiots from both clubs who get drunk and cause violence will be in the cheap seats-so i dont think it would be much of a risk at all.

its 98 not 94. do you ever get anything right.

i've paid to sit with the big boys and if a burnley fan sat next to me he would be wearing my prawn sarnie and over the balcony into the cheap seats.

so in answer to your question tit no.

Thanks for the Glentoran comment, it made my weekend when the Gibson Cup went back to East Belfast.

The point of this thread is to try and ascertain whether or not United fans would be prepared to give up their unsold tickets to Burnley fans. This is irrespective of how tickets have been sold as the fact remains that Burnley fans are without tickets and some are desperate to get their hands on one if the national football forums are to be believed.

If what some are advocating is, or has already happened then you may have some of their fans in your end of the ground, so wouldn't it be more sensible (if segregration could be arranged) for you to give them the blocks of tickets you have left.

This might be 100,200,300,400,500 or a Thousand, but to them people this ticket is priceless so why shouldn't you just hand them over if logistics allow for it.

Put another way, if United ever get to a Champions League final and you were in the same position as they are now, would you be happy if the seats were left unsold.

I'd heard from a source which I would consider to be reliable that Burnley were barring applications from people with certain post codes (Sheffield, Wakefield, Pontefract and another which I can't remember. Possibly Huddersfield.). Given that we have had a general sale for a while too, I doubt there will be any significant numbers of Blades in their end.

The only tickets which seem to be 'moveable' are the £98 ones ...... and people who have paid a ten year licence to Wembley to guarantee tickets to the Cup Final, England senior internationals, the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final and a few other matches get a chance to claim their seats. Whether they get first dibs or not, I'm not sure, but that might be a reason why those tickets can't be shifted round. They're not guaranteed seats for the play-off finals though.

For the price of the ten year licence, I'd bloody well want first dibs!

I watched the Glentoran v England match on Capitalist TV a few weeks ago with the late equaliser, and the win over Coleraine must have been wonderful!

I really worry about you, you post just to wind Blades up you know the answer to your question it was posted to wind up Blades not to stimulate a debate. You know that every Blade would say no.

What you haven't answered is how would you segregate the aformentioned Burnley fans from 37000+ Blades.

Think before you post you knew what answer you were going to get.

But we can listen to you going on about how many season tickets you've sold!

Or we could discuss how many your team have not sold.;)

of course make them available to burnley fans and see how many sell.i would love to go but cannot afford it.better idea let the club buy them and give them as concessions to worthy groups.

At the risk of upsetting one or two of you, can I ask what you’d think about handing over a designated area of your expensive seats to Burnley fans unable to get tickets for the game.

I’ve just been looking on 606 website and there are a few people suggesting coming over to the lane to buy tickets for your end, so why don’t you pre-empt any trouble by setting a designated area of your expensive seats aside and offering them to Burnley to sell.

Surely as true football fans, you wouldn’t want people to miss such an important game and if segregation is sorted then surely everyone’s a winner.

Posted as a suggestion with a view to determining peoples attitude towards the idea, would prefer the usual suspects avoid responding with their normal insults.

do you dream stuff like this up?
