Heard it on the Grapevine

Recommended Posts

Just in the ground in the garden, at the end that gets the sun pretty much all day. The soil is quite rich; these very small gardens have been worked for 100 years or so, so there is no clay pan left.

My vine is a very basic type and bears sweet, small green grapes. It was grown from a cutting and has never been grafted or improved, so it's pretty good at fighting off the usual mould and pest issues that "proper" grapevines get.

If you have a propagator, you're welcome to take a cutting next year :)
