For anyone going into or staying in central London, who wishes to avoid the tube and Wembley Park, a more civilised alternative is the Marylebone to Wembley Stadium overground service.

 

Trains leave on and at half past each hour from Marylebone, and the journey only takes 10 minutes.

 

There is a decent bar on MArylebone station as well.

 

IT HAS SUBSEQUENTLY BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION that services out of Marylebone will be suspended due to Engineering work.

This did not show up when I checked timtables, before my original post on 14th May. Apologies for that.
