AITP   10 #1 Posted May 13, 2009 This year Art in the Park have teamed up with Peace in the Park, a one day community festival being held in the Ponderosa on June 6th 2009. Volunteers will be responsible for turning the Ponderosa into a beautiful sea of colour and movement for the day! We are working with artist Lindsay Mitchell to design and create signs, banners and koi carp flags inspired by Japanese Children's Day.  We are holding free drop in sessions over the next few weeks to make decorations for the park, so come along and get inspired! This is a great chance to get really involved in the creative side of a fantastic community festival. No experience is necessary, and you don't have to come to all the sessions, or stay for the whole time. We provide all materials and drinks and snacks. The sessions are open to anyone over the age of 16 so friends and family are welcome!
