Electric meters in rented property

Recommended Posts

Thanks for your replies, she has not much choice as her bill is over £800 so looks like a meter has to be fitted. She hasn't paid a bill in 18 months.

Why hasnt she paid a bill in 18 months.

I have a pre payment meter for my electric, I have a 23 bedroom flat and I put £20 pounds a month on my electric meter and most months I have some left over on it.

I have a payment card for my gas and pay £70 for my gas each month. Which makes me wonder if it would be any cheaper if I had a gas pre payment meter

I have a prepayment meter and I put £100 on in the middle of march, and still got £30 on it now

Put £120 on the gas at the same time, only got £17 on that.

Ouch! £70 a month on electricity and £100 a month on gas! How can people afford to live like that?
