Neither of them worked there when i was there 1959-71,I do know a Tony Milnes who was a mechanic but he is dead now,i was speaking with Mrs Dungworth earlier today and she didnt know of a mechanic called Tony I never heard of Mick Hall there.Shakeyblade

that's interesting, That is the right Tony he passed away in 82.

I must have it wrong as im sure mick said they worked their together.

Maybe I wasn't listening and it was just Hillsborough Garage that they worked together.

 

I would be very interested in how well you knew Tony and what type of person he was.

Yes suzyoo, it was a Fina petrol station. I worked on the pumps 1972-73 ish, petrol was 33p-36p a gallon.........happy motoring.

When i worked there it was 5/-a Gallon.

Could probably fill a car up for less than £3 then bullerboy.

Yes i used to put four gallon in the bike and run it all week for a pound then but my wages were only about £12. outdoors.

£1 for 4 gallon, doesn't even buy a litre these days bullerboy.

times they have a changed outdoors.I will be seeing Mrs Dungworth this week hopefully and she always talks about the old happy days at Waldot.
