Robbie Loving   10 #1 Posted April 2, 2009 Using the predictor on the beeb site.....  http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/predictor/default.stm  I have the following table sorted....   1. Reading GD +40 pts 85 2. Wolves GD +26 pts 85 3 Sheff Utd Pts 84 4. Brum pts 81 5. Cardiff pts 76 6. Burnley pts 72 7. Swansea GD +13 pts68 8. Preston GD +2 pts 68 9. Bristol pts 67 10. QPR pts 64 11. Ipswich pts 63 12. Coventry GD -3 pts 61 13. Doncaster GD -10 pts 61 14. Derby pts 58 15 Owls pts 57 16. Palace pts 56 17. Watford GD -7 pts 53 18. Norwich GD -8 pts 53 19. Forest pts 52 20. Plymouth GD -14 pts 51 21. Barnsley GD -18 pts 51 22. Blackpool pts 47 23. Southampton pts 43 24. Charlton pts 34  Sadly it sees Wolves going up, which I don't think they deserve as they're not that good. But it rightly gives Reading the title.  Sadly also Barnsley don't go down, and Burnley get in play offs even though I don't rate them.  The Blades miss out on auto by one point as I have their GD as +30 for season end..... MR BENN   10 #2 Posted April 2, 2009 i still say Wolvws and Reding go up in automatic place Blades, Birmingham ,Burnley and Cardiff in the play offs  religation - Charlton,Southampton and Forest
 Share this content via...
Stockers   10 #3 Posted April 2, 2009 Wolves look like they're up, Brum are in a dodgy patch, as are Reading.  We'll see, i dont see the Blades getting an automatic spot though, i think it'll be Wolves and Brum and we'll lose out in the first round of the Play Offs to Cardiff. al_partridge   10 #7 Posted April 2, 2009 I got Wolves on 91 points, with Reading (84) just pipping blades (82). Birmingham, Cardiff and Swansea in playoffs  Wednesday 15th - only 1 more win this season, against Southampton.  Charlton bottom obviously, with Plymouth second bottom and Southampton somehow just staying up relegating Blackpool on goal difference. al_partridge   10 #8 Posted April 2, 2009 i think the play offs are a lottery -i think league form goes out of the window and the blades ahve as much chance as anyone  True - it's not very often that the team finishing in third actually win the playoffs. Look at Wednesday in 2005, only won 1 of the last 9 league games finishing 5th, and then won all three play-off games.
 Share this content via...

Stockers   10 #12 Posted April 2, 2009 i think the play offs are a lottery -i think league form goes out of the window and the blades ahve as much chance as anyone   I've seen the blades in the following BIG matches and been let down time and time again;  Man U ('90) - FA Cup quarter final Wednesday ('93) - FA Cup Semi Palace ('97) - Play Off Final Newcastle ('98) - FA Cup Semi Sunderland ('98) - Play off first leg Arsenal ('03) - FA Cup Semi Livepool ('03) - League Cup Semi Wolves ('03) - Play Off Final  Chuck into that Chelsea away (relegation in the last minute '95) and Wigan at home 2006 (relegated at home on the last day of the season) and you've got plenty of depressing times supporting the Blades.  Don't get me wrong getting to all of the above Semi Finals, P/O finals etc has been a great experience as have 2 promotions to the top flight but i would like to see us win on the big occasion just once
 Share this content via...
