fleetwood   10 #4767 Posted July 26, 2012 Quite correct it was on the corner of the street that connected them it was 40 yrs ago now can you remember it or not?  There was what used to be a shop at the top of Botham St on the left if you were looking down the street, it might have been a butchers at one time, I seem to remember a faded name (Starbucks or something similar) above the old store front. I think it ceased being a shop around the begining of WW2.
 Share this content via...

rf2690 Â Â 10 #4769 Posted July 27, 2012 Hi Allgin, it should be in September and it was suggested it be held at Chapeltown, but it was also said that a Grimesthorpe reunion should be held, in Grimesthorpe, so its open to debate. Hi George, thought it was March and October reunions.
 Share this content via...
pigeon   11 #4770 Posted July 29, 2012 Hi George, thought it was March and October reunions.  Chapletown was a nice venue but the forum members should voice their opinions as to where the reunion should take place? On a different note I have noticed more Grimesthorpe threads popping up ie. Smiths field,Butchers on Petre st,and the Who can Tell on Bothem st..... brian1941 Â Â 11 #4775 Posted July 31, 2012 Buddy Brian never mind one bit talking to you on any thread but for me personal my slight anoy at at Grimsthorpe thread goes way back when trying to ask a question only to be drowned out by "lets go down to the pub"and "how often do you change your rubber knickers" and when I hit the wrong button two old ladys was discusing how falsely boost up numbers by idle chat, at that time did make me a little mad the Moderators could have put a stop to S.F abuse but I did get a P.M says you'll get nowhere as one of the mods mother comes from Grimsthorpe so they can do no wrong over the last two years this as proven to be true as no other thread is allowed this freedom mumble mumble moan grumble:rant::rant::hihi: --------------------- Hi Ya Flyer, Seems the problems with my internet forum as put its self right as i have wanted to reply to your post -- The above. -------- My theory is, you say certain people shout you down when asking questions. Remember in 2010/11 i spotted you on this thread and i said dont upset anyone on this site, and really you did and to a few people. I saw one remark calling you a d---head, no names mentioned you know who they are. You ( could ) be welcomed on here if you didn't take the P ?? . It doesn't matter if we talk about our pass and fond memories or even if certain people think its a CHAT ROOM -- We'er staying put. Look back on page 238, 4757, i hope the squabbling stops.
