hi everyone been on grimesthorpe boys club forum been trying to trace steve clarke last saw him when moved him from uxbridge when he was stationed there many moons ago

We moved to Base Green and my mum and dad lived there until the 90s.

Was the fair haired lad Dommi?.

from way back.

 

That image in my mind was that of david swain, seems plenty knew him.

knocked about with him for a short time as then he joined the forces.

i use to see him on leave and in his uniform, but the name!

Some sad news, Keith Green (Beany) called me this morning to say Frank Wood had passed away. RIP Frank you were a joy to know all these years, very funny man.

Sure he will be sue,Tonys brother rang this morning to tell us they all worked in erecting game,didn't see each other often but were good mates.RIP Frank.xx

I remember when all the lads used to come round to our house to play cards Frank, Sticks, Beany, Beular, Flake, Betsey, and even Nelly Wood who lived over our wall on Birdwell Road....It was like watching a comedy duo with Frank and Sticks they used to argue all the time lol....Sticks always thought he looked like Elvis lol.......Happy days....Xx
