Hello Walt, Many thanks for the Youtube clips of the floods in 2007,

i new a chap that worked at G,P,OFFICE on Brightside Lane, he had

just finished his shift and had to be airlifted, he was a bit peeved

they hadn't dropped him off at home. :hihi::hihi:

I think most of Sheffield felt the brunt of the floods.

Victoria Station 1967, Anyone any Idea if there was a charge to go up/down

lift, can anyone remember having to drag their luggage up the steps, PHEW.

My family use this station when we went on holiday to Cleethorpes.

If I remember right, they used to charge One Penny to use the lift. I too used this station to go to Cleethopes. Happy days.

Hi all, just catching up, been on holiday.

If you look at the wall, where hillside shop used to be, you can still see the old steps.

Newhall Rd bridge still floods but not as often as Upwell st.

I worked on Victoria station right up to it closing, and up to the lift being taken out of service, it was still 1d(old money). As far as I am aware the old lift cage is still there, at the bottom.

We passed old hillside shop last weekend but forgot to look if you could see where the steps were, will have to ask Pete to drive more slowly next time we pass by. Hope you had a good holiday George.

Hiya George, So where was the holiday.

You talked about the old steps near the hillside shop, would that be

roughly across from reform Chaple or that Garage.

I will check it out when i'am down there whenever.

Hi Brian, Malta, it was lovely.

If you look at the 'Hill Side' at the highest point, you can see where they have been blanked off.
