michelledecs   10 #5055 Posted October 11, 2012 Heard some sad news yesterday, The Sheffield Arms, is to shut down this coming Wednesday. It seems they have been struggling for some time, so when the beer runs out, that's it, another one gone.  Hi again. Sheffield Arms isnt closing hunni. Enterprise are keeping it open and have somebody interested in runniing it. I do feel sorry for whomever does take it though as due to Enterprise Inns High Rent and Barraledge they will not survive too long! michelledecs   10 #5063 Posted October 14, 2012 maybe they should ask kevin from behind the bar to run it. i hope they are going to keep the whitby trip going  Kevin:thumbsup: I`m afraid its not as easy as just turning up to run it. Enterprise will want a large deposit id have thought anything between 3-10k. They will also want the person to but the FF about 7k and quite possibly a months rent upfront (unless on a TAW) They will then be bound by contract to the pub for X amount of years (again unless on a TAW), and they may quite possibly want Guarentor, unless the person has their own house or any other asset`s.
