Women bus drivers

When the bus services were deregulated in the 1980's, there seemed to be a proliferation of female drivers driving Sheffield's new "Eager Beavers". Nowadays women bus drivers are a rarity. What happened to them all ?

I believe the women bus drivers at the time were more dilligent at fault reporting than the men, prompting SYPTE to instruct Reeve Burgess (the coachbuilder ) to remove all of the original equipment oil pressure and water temperature guages from their new builds as they were fed up of unnecessary "downtime".

there are quite a few lady bus drivers around at the moment and very good they are to, they are on the first routes tm travel and a few on stagecoach

Wasnt the reeve burges boddied dodges operatied by SYT and not the PTE who havent operatied buses since Oct 1986 ?

Ive seen one lady driver on the number 11/12 who is very nice looking indeed with dark brown redish hair.
