Am 63 now ,how about you? no sorry don't know Ken's surname soz. I remember several times out side after closing lots of stand up shagging going on !!!Did you ever go up into the roof above the entrance? Don't know why but I went up there ,just full of rubbish.Played squash with Danny ,he thrashed me !! I was the one who sold raffle tickets in the foyer, raising monies for the Variety Club travel buses for disabled (I think) For a short while after '76 I kept in touch with DJ Brian.I just can't believe my memories of Tiffs go back 44 years and they're so fresh in my memory. That type of club doesn't exist any longer so far as I know.I live Dronfield still.

We used to clear treetops out of couples , should have seen their faces when the lights were turned on .once saw Danny  crack this guy inside the foyer, went  down the steps outside, over the railings and landed in the road. Can you remember the two Asian bouncers , Ian, Phil Scott , Paul, Horace, Gladys from the cloakroom, hazel and Audrey from the bar staff mark

Can't remember the two Asian bouncers.think I remember Gladys though. Danny was hard, I remember walking with him with previous nights takings to deposit into bank on The Moor,it still carried traffic if I remember correctly, just seems like yesterday.I remember one Saturday night at closing time when some football fans (think they were Chelsea or Newcastle) they wouldn't leave the club and there was a bit of a stand off, couple of glasses thrown down near the dance floor, side doors opened and they were ejected.

New years eve was always heaving, the count down to mid night was exiting.Wish I had photos of the time.Do you remember the telephone?near the wash area for glasses? I close my eyes and can imagine myself in tiffs working my whatsits off for my £7 per nights work !!

I once turned away a punter cos he hadn't turned 21 ,the age you had to be to get in,I recall feeling amused as I was only 20 myself at the time.Danny used to let me man the door early before it got busy prior to me collecting  glasses.

Danny was a stickler for the rules, the summer of  1976; men still had to wear jacket and tie, eventually relented on tie rule when a customer passed out, took a girl out for several weeks, then one night , had to escort this guy out, turned out he was her husband, talk about being gobsmacked. Danny ran a football team, forty foot , I believe, concord park was their home ground, played a few games for him. Yes , some great memories had there.

Does anyone know what happened to Danny or where he is?  I was in the first band to play at Tiffany's, [New Society], and we started there on the 5th November 1968. When the club closed at 2.00am on a Sunday morning Danny and I would drive to the river Till in Lincolnshire and go fishing for most of the day.

I remember  Pam and Eve from the band, did an amazing version of Maria Muldaurs Midnight at the Oasis. Usually went Friday and Saturday nights, Tony Currie was a regular.
