a la carte is individually priced dishes for each course.

set menu is set price for usually 2 courses, 3 courses etc

set menu is also sometimes called table d'hote.

hope this clears it up:)

i know as i am a chef:thumbsup:

venus restaraunt @ dinnington (used to be Deans)

a la carte & set menu. they do an excellent 5 course "set" menu with about 6 or 7 choices per course for £40 for 2.

qulaity is superb & the quantity for the money is beyonf belief.

recommend mixed grill for big eaters.
