If you could bring back one of Sheffield's past features

1..the fountain...remember one xmas filling it with bottles of washing up liquid..

2..saddle/limit....spent many happy nights in there..

3..daizy....only for the free beer/food my relatives used to serve up..

4..redgates..loved shop******* in there..

5..fish tank..in hole in road..

6..claymore....newcastle brown rules ok..

7..fiesta...remember seeing four tops...that ****** there was eight of them by time they came on..

8..football terraces....i hate sitting down..

9..cheap bus fares..

10..hoffenbrau house....cheap beer and strippers saturday dinners

Didnt know they were back did you have one and what happened to it, my brother swopped his for a tape recorder.

yes i did have one and then i went up a step and got a grifter bike i gace mine to my sister dont know what happened to it after that here is the link to the new choppper

Reading through this has just made me take a mojor stroll down memory lane.

 

I remember when I was a kid, my mum used to take me for breakfast in Woolies Cafe, then through the hole in the road so I could stare at the fish and then on for a cuppa and to see the crocodile at Orchard Square. I wish I could make that journey again!

 

I'd completely forgotten about the Orchard Square Crocodile until someone reminded me a couple of pages ago!

More pics of hole in the road - including oen of the famous fishtank! I'd never heard of this particular Sheffield landmark until I read about it on this thread (only an adopted Sheffielder since 2003). Despite the problems with crime it does seem a shame it's gone as it looked pretty unique.
