munky   10 #1 Posted March 6, 2009 Does anyone know if there is a homebrew supplies shop somewhere in the City Center. I know there used to be one in the Market, but haven't a clue as I haven't been for ages.  Cheers all.
 Share this content via...

NEKRO138 Â Â 10 #3 Posted March 6, 2009 Boots used to have some stuff upstairs. I know you asked for city centre, but Hillsborough has it's own brewing shop, just a 15 minute tram ride.
 Share this content via...

Needs to be City Center as I've got 30 mins for me dinner and working till after the shops are shut.  Wilko's sounds like me best option so far, cheers. Got most of me equipment from brew-it-yersen.co.uk and wouldn't recommend them to anyone as they just lob parts at you, send snotty replies to emails sent to them, asking if there should be more instructions and don't bother to reply when you pass them some feedback on the shopping experience we had with them.  Does you mean Abbey Lane or Abbeydale Rd as these are both local to my home and hadn't realised there was anywhere that close to home.  Cheers. frenchfrie   10 #7 Posted March 6, 2009 Brewmart is at the Woodseats end of Abbey Lane. Just go to the Abbey pub and turn the corner onto Abbey Lane. It's about 2 or 3 doors down between the clothes and card shop before you get to the DIY store.
 Share this content via...

DinnoCanary   10 #9 Posted August 27, 2011 Avoid The Brewmart on abbey lane. I recently purchased a fruit press for cider making which broke first time I used it. Totally ignorant, rude and abusive nasty woman went mental when I tried to return it. I was going to purchase a far sturdier model for 3 times original cost of model that broke but the utter lack of customer care was shockingly medieval! Wouldn't waste my pee on the place if it was on fire. However, the man that served me on my first visit was very friendly n helpful. Little knowledge of cider making though. Shame you don't know where to buy sloes for the gin.
 Share this content via...
